Professional Development Scholarship Opportunities
PTLI is proud to support scholarship opportunities that promote diversity, equity, leadership, and research excellence in physical therapy education.
Through the Lynda D. Woodruff (LDW) Professional Development Fund and the PTLI FHEL Scholarship, we help reduce financial barriers for emerging leaders and underrepresented voices in the field. These scholarships support participation in high-impact programs including the Grant Writing and Mentorship in Education Research (GAMER) workshop, Training in Grantsmanship in Rehabilitation Research (TIGRR), and the Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership (FHEL). These initiatives align with PTLI’s mission to ignite change and foster inclusive leadership across the profession.
The PTLI FHEL Scholarship
The PTLI FHEL Scholarship provides up to $4,000 annually to support two participants in the Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership program. This scholarship prioritizes physical therapists who are historically marginalized or underrepresented and those lacking full institutional funding. In addition to supporting leadership development, recipients are invited to share their experiences and project outcomes with the PTLI Board and are recognized as PTLI Leadership Scholars.
